A popular, slow growing palm with hardiness from Florida to South Carolina Florida. Palmate leaves broad to 6'with long stiff stalks, the top is crowned wit a cluster of leaves. The trunk grows variably 20' to 80' and will be covered with criss crosses pattern of old leaf bases. When adult it can withstand sporadic cold. Its emblem is on the state flag of South Carolina. One of the easier palms to grow. |
