A single trunk pinnate leaved palm to 20'. Trunk lightly ringed, tapering to crownshaft - the 6'leaves are arched and with broad leaflets to 3'. Attractive red fruits. This stately palm has become very popular as landscapers are now using it more in the interiorscape, and we see them being used as specimen trees in many of the newer malls. The large seeds are the size of a jellybean and covered with a straw-like husk. |
