Very popular tree which develops a handsome pyramidal shape. Frequently grown as an indoor ornamental plant and sometimes used as a Christmas tree decorated with lights. Used as a landscape tree in warmer zones. It is a slow growing sub-tropical conifer that can reach 190' in its natural habitat. Its name is derived from the tropical island where it is found - Norfolk Island. The seeds are triangular shaped wedges and they must be kept damp wheny they are sown. |
