| Tropical vine to 12' with dainty pinnate leaves which are light sensitive; produces showy purple flowers followed by the 1" seed pods containing the shiny red & black seeds which are used as beads. Seeds very poisonous if eaten. |
Germination for: ABRUS precatorius (Red seeds) "Coral Bead vine"
Plant at 3/4" depth using well draining soil mixture. Keep very warm, damp and in bright light with high humidity.
