Growing Instructions & Tips: |
| This is the monarch of native Hawaiian forest trees. Height varies from 60' to 100'with a dark green spreading crown of crescent shaped "leaves". Under perfect conditions the hard, straight trunks may be seen growing to 80' with 10' trunks. Greatly valued for it's beautiful red wood with wavy lines. |
Germination for: ACACIA Koa "Koa", "Hawaiian Mahogany"
Plant at a depth of 1" in well draining soil mixture. Keep warm, damp in bright light and fertilize monthly.
* TO HASTEN GERMINATION: Use a nail clipper to carefully nick the seed with a very small nick. Then place the seeds into a cup of warm water overnight. Plant when the seeds have swollen.
