  SOLD OUT - NEXT AVAILABILITY EXPECTED IN JANUARY. Always popular in Europe. Becoming immensely popular in the USA. Not hardy in northern zones. If this herb is being grown for the purpose of pickling the capers you will actually be using the flower buds. The 2" flowers are pale white. Native to the dry Mediterranean region. Hardy to 18 F. Germination for: CAPPARIS spinosa "Capers" Fresh seeds can be planted in 1/2" coarse sand / loose soil mixture. Requires full sun. Native to dry regions so water only occasionally - never keeping it wet. It is a poor germinator and may take months to germinate.If the small seeds are quite hard they must be first soaked overnight in hot water, then wraped in cloth and stored in a sealed jar for 3 months in the refrigerator, and finally - soaked again in hot water overnight and planted.
