| Ready in late May. Native to Brazil. This unique tree reaches 18' with sharp thorn-like spines on the trunk and develops a bulging trunk with age. Deeply lobed leaves. Flowers develop pale pink to dark rose. Pear shaped fruits are laden with silky floss. |
Germination for: CHORISIA speciosa "Silk Floss Tree"
Plant at a depth of 1/2" in well draining soil mixture. Keep warm, damp and in bright light.
