| A vigorous climbing type of palm. Used in the making of Rattan furniture. Very spiny sharp barbs assist it's ability to climb to a great height- and the spines make seed collection a dangerous event. May be pruned back to desirable height. The seeds are the size of a small marble and the weight could cause the postage to be a bit higher than is indicated on our postal chart. 8 seeds in packet. |
Germination for: DESMONCUS schippii "Rattan"
Plant at 1" depth using well draining soil mixture. Keep damp, warm, and in bright light.
