In the tropics it is quite attractive in the landscape and is often seen as a beautiful hedge. Indoors, it is found to be an excellent plant and it can produce cherry - like dark red fruits within 2 years. The semi-tart fruits are used in jellies, jams, pies and candied fruit. Flowers are white, solitary and on 2" peduncles. The leaves are oblong and leathery. SEEDS ARE NOT AVAILABLE DUE TO drought in our growing region.
