  Also known as Indian spinach. An herbaceous vine to 30' with edible leaves that are 4" long and broadly ovate, Used as a pot herb and as a substitutes for spinach. For warm zones. Available in late February. Germination for: MALABAR spinach - Basella alba Broadcast the seeds onto the surface of well drainingg soil. Must be kept warm, and in bright light. Keep only lightly moist.
