| Attractive large date palm native to India / Nepal. Grows to 45'. Its gray-green leaves are almost bluish. Date sugar, a valuable commercial product, is obtained from its sap which becomes refined into various grades of sugar. The seeds are heavy, 1" long and rounded at the ends. |
Germination for: PHOENIX sylvestris "Sugar Date Palm"
Plant at a depth of 1 1/2 " using well draining soil mixture. Keep moist and constantly warm. Bright light.
