| Hardy to zone 9a - central California to northern Florida. Outstanding in the genus - trunk is heavy & covered with enhancing old leaf bases topped by a dense crown of pinnate leaves each with 150-200 leaflets. 65' height. |
Germination for: PHOENIX canariensis "Canary Island Date palm"
Plant 1 1/2" deep in a well draining soil mixture. A consistantly warm temperature is very important preferably 75F - 80F. Needs bright light tt full sun. Keep lightly moist and fertilize lightly each month using a balanced fertilizer.
