This uncommon cycad is native to Mexico. It is palm-like with thinner leaflets than Dioon edule and an erect slender trunk to 16'. The large seeds may weigh approximately 1 ounce each. The young leaves are a translucent blue-green. The mature leaves are numerous and arch gracefully to 7' and most leaves have up to 240 light green leaflets. Our packet size contains 2 very large seeds - each about the size of a MEDIUM SIZE EGG. The weight of these seeds may reflect an increase in the shipping cost. There are approximately 20 seeds in one pound, 100 seed weight is 5lb. |
