| One of the most desirable of the genus. This native to South Texas is hardy to 20 degrees. A robust palm with a massive reddish brown trunk that can reach 50'. Beautiful 3' wide fan shaped leaves are deeply ribbed. Its palm fruit is edible. The crown of foliage at the top is dense and rounded. Will grow in full sun or partial shade. |
Germination for: SABAL Mexicana "Texas Palmetto"
Plant the seeds at 3/4" depth in well draining soil mixture with some organic content. Keep damp. Provide warmth and bright light.
