| A short ornamental flowering ginger producing upright flowers that are deep rosy- red with dark red edging. It is stemless with short cylindrical green leaves. The mature height is only 15 inches. Requires warmth and high humidity. Plant in well draining soil. Easily grown from our tuberous rhizomes. NOT FOR EXPORT. |
Germination for: CURCUMA alismatifolia "Thai Supreme" Flowering ginger
Plant the small tuber in a soil mixture that is well draining (If soil is not well draining it can cause the tuber to eventually rot ). Keep warm and only lightly moist while in an atmosphere of high humidity. Filtered sunlight. Do not keep wet. Withold watering in winter months when the plant is dormant. The tuber will develop new bulblets in the winter/dormant period.
