Growing Instructions & Tips: |
| Must be planted in well draining soil mixture and high humidity is needed. Keep soil moist. Plant at an angle of 90 degrees allowing the top 1 1/2" to be exposed. Ideal temperature is 70 degrees but not higher. Filtered sunlight - no direct sun. Fertilize lightly once a month with miracid. | ||

The Bat Flower has a very unusial appearance. The uniqueness of its multiple "whiskers" is offset by the dark purple background of the foliage It is not the easiest of plants to grow but if you can follow our growing instuctions you may be rewarded with one of the most uncommon plants. We now have some rooted cuttings ready for immediate shipping(4" to 6"in length). The soil is the most important aspect of the growing. The soil must drain well. We recommend a mixture of 55% soil mixture plus 35% perlite and 10% vermiculite. Plant the stem at an angle of 90 degrees covering completly except allowing the top 1 1/2" to be exposed. Provide filtered sunlight to shade - no direct sun. Keep damp but not wet. Use Miracid fertilizer monthly. NOT FOR EXPORT. |
