In southern France this flowering aromatic plant is widely grown as a prime source for perfume. It is also grown commercially as a cut flower. Grown in warm zones or indoors with bright light and warmth. The flowers are bright white, doubles, 2 1/2" long and very fragrant. The thin 1/2" leaves are 1 1/2' long. Mature height 3 1/2'. This perennial may be grown i zones 7-11 and the ideal temperature is 60 - 85F. Flowering time is usually 3-4 months. The flower scent is similar to Gardenia. |
