Description, Growing Instructions & Tips:
SOLD OUT - NEXT HARVEST IS EXPECTED IN MARCH 2009. This 40 Tropical tree is grown for its pear shaped edible fruits and the edible Cashew nut. It is a vigorous grower that is not too particular about the soil. The fresh seeds contain a toxic oil which could cause rash or other reaction if handled AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN PLANTED. There are three very large, heavy kidney shaped seeds in a packet. The shipping weight of this seed is NOT indicated on our postal chart. Since it is heavier than most seeds its actual weight will be used in determining the postage. ( Average weight of 100 Cashew seeds is 1 Lb. ).

Using well draining soil mixture plant the seeds at a depth of 1 1/2". Keep warm and in bright light with high humidity. Keep lightly moist - not wet.
